NSW Swifts skipper Kimberlee Green looks set to finish her netball career in red after re-signing with the club for a 14th straight season.
The champion midcourter and Diamonds vice-captain said she had never considered playing anywhere else and was delighted to re-join her teammates in next ANZ Championship as they aim to go one better than June's grand final loss.
"This club means so much to me and truly is my second family," the 29-year-old said.
"It's fantastic we've been able to retain the core of our 2015 roster and those returning will use the hurt of last season's grand final defeat as added motivation to achieve success next year."
Green's retention means the Swifts have now re-signed six of the side's starting seven from the decider, which they lost to the Queensland Firebirds by a single goal in the dying seconds.
Vice-captain Abbey McCulloch, Susan Pettitt, Caitlin Thwaites, Sharni Layton, Paige Hadley and Stephanie Wood have all recommitted.
The exception is veteran Julie Corletto, who will retire after the Netball World Cup.
Coach Rob Wright had been keen to lock in Green before the World Cup starts next week, but had to accommodate he under the salary cap.
"Kim continues to be one of the most revered athletes in world netball and certainly an integral part of our team, so it's fantastic to have her on board for next season," Wright said.
